POSITION: Training Planner: Innovation Program Testing (Guest Experience Professional) 

TEAM: Strategic Innovation Support 

DEPARTMENT: Guest Experience & Innovation 

JOB PURPOSE: This role will be responsible for supporting projects from inception to roll-out, for Guest Experience Innovation program tests. 

Support will include communication, organization and planning, development, distribution, introduction, facilitation, and measurement of training systems and programs. This position will work collaboratively with Organization and Team Effectiveness (OTE) Shared Services on the design and development of job aids, training materials, and presentations for Guest Experience. 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Planning & coordination of training needs in order to execute the testing of new program / innovation ideas for the Guest Experience Department including :
  • Communication to necessary leadership, Directors of Operations, Regional Managers/Franchise Consultants, Restaurants, and Home Office Stakeholders, written and verbal including, but not limited to memos, training materials, and pricing structures 
  • Scheduling and Facilitation of Follow-up conferences calls, meetings, or other platforms 
  • Communicating to restaurants periodically throughout the test process 
  • Delivers relevant training and educational components for all tests 
  • Communicate and support execution of the plan; share results, provide feedback and ideas to maximize performance for the test 
  • Assist restaurant managers in the planning, execution, and measurements of training programs. 
  • Prepare and deliver training presentations to restaurant management 
  • Assists in designing measurement and tracking processes to evaluate implementation, follow through processes, and ROI 
  • Leads or participates in project-related meetings in support of program testing initiates. 

  • Works in collaboration with the Guest Experience and Innovation Team, Organization and Team Effectiveness (OTE) COE , Operational Excellence and other cross functional teams to identify and deliver learning solutions and scalable and repeatable processes.
  • Works in collaboration with OTE and Operations COE Teams to ensure smooth hand offs for test strategies that will be implemented system wide to include test learning’s / modification to ensure organizational efficiencies and speed to market
  • Communicates business needs to cross-functional partners, to enable development of strategies and standards, templates, processes, and styles for all learning materials
  • Assists in the production process of instructional DVDs, training webinars, DirecTV broadcasts, or similar.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • May support department leaders with scheduling meetings, sending correspondence, invoices, research, and other ad hoc requests as needed
  • As a member of the Guest Experience & Innovation department, contributes innovation ideas to the creative process that could enhance the guest experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 
Required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training, Communication, Human Resource Development, or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years or relevant work experience, including oversight of small to mid-sized projects.
  • Travel 15-20%, occasional overnights may be required
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take complicated information and present it in a way that is easy to understand
  • Key skills necessary for training program development including computer literacy, technical-writing, editing/proofing, basic design, and document usability.
  • Experience organizing, planning, and guiding a new training / learning initiative through all project phases.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner
  • Effectively set timelines and priorities based on the needs of multiple customers
  • Ability to work independently under high-level guidance on the responsibilities described above
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with Team Members at all levels of the organization
Preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of adult learning styles to assist with program development, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Experience or training in InDesign or similar tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry preferred
  • Experience working with training video production: Scripting, Collecting Feedback from key Stakeholders, Coordination of video shoots, editing, etc.
