SharePoint Portal Specialist - Vykin Corporation, San Diego, CA


Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced Secret cleared SharePoint Specialists to join our team in San Diego, CA on the North Island. We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense. Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the customer's Unclassified/Classified Websites and SharePoint portal. 
  • Management all SharePoint licenses supporting customer's users. 
  • Design and implement new SharePoint portal solutions. 
  • Provide Registration/Help Desk support for customer's SharePoint Portal. 
  • Provide a quarterly SharePoint license tracking report 

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, and administering a Microsoft SharePoint portal 
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certification required 
  • Must have either Comptia A+, Network+, or Security+ certification (must be DOD 8570 IAT level 1 compliant) 
  • Must have an active in-scope SECRET security clearance

Working Conditions:
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The work location is a government facility located on a military installation in San Diego, CA supporting a DoD customer. Desktop Support - CyrusOne, LLC. - Houston, TX


Job Purpose:
Provide hands-on technical support including support for day-to-day operations of all company-standard hardware and software technologies for desktop, laptop, and System Management platforms. Support CyrusOne Corporate IT Infrastructure, participate in technical projects as needed and properly utilize the CyrusOne ticketing system for logging, tracking, and communication of technical support issues. 

Essential Functions:
  • Provides standard desktop and local area network support and analysis
  • Serves as a technical expert regarding all aspects of desktop computer support
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and answering questions related to network connectivity, software, and hardware
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printers, scanners, handheld PDAs and other peripherals.
  • Perform basic server administration (account maintenance, permissions, print queue)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with Windows operating systems, network connectivity, file sharing, printing, and basic application functions
  • Work on technical projects requiring expertise and creativity in analysis and deployment of technology
  • Maintain standards and procedures documentation
  • Attend meetings, tend to administrative functions, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Stay current with CyrusOne information system/desktop/security standards and initiatives

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in technical consulting/user support

Position Purpose:
Partners with IT and Business Unit partners to research, analyze, and document business and systems needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. The Investment Systems group is responsible for a portfolio of applications used to facilitate the purchase, sale, and management of retail investment products (Mutual Funds, GIC's, Canada Savings Bonds, etc.) within Canadian Banking. 

Key Accountabilities 
  • The Business Systems Analyst will be acting as a liaison between IT (Development & Quality Assurance) and Business and Operations teams during all stages of the software development lifecycle for development projects. They must understand and analyze the high level business requirements and be able to translate them into detailed system changes and document the changes in various artifacts required for IT development. They will be primarily responsible for: 
  • Coordinating detailed business requirements phases, and identifying, tracking and resolving business systems issues. 
  • Analyzing, assessing, researching and documenting user interface & batch processing system changes, in business terms, and sponsor/stakeholder needs, in accordance with PMF Project Life Cycle and/or Agile (AMF) deliverables, selecting appropriate information gathering and/or modeling techniques to solve problems. 
  • Recommending business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients. 
  • Documenting the functional specifications including use cases, user interfaces, business rules, standardized data mappings and data flow diagrams. 
  • Ensuring successful completion of project objectives within budget and on time, and as per Project Office methodology. 
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on appropriate user documentation and ensuring accuracy for assigned projects. 
  • Managing change and acting as a consultant to Development & QA partners during code development, test planning and test execution. 
  • Effectively communicating and building rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from project initiation to close. 
  • Facilitating small to medium size group meetings and document walkthroughs, and conducting small cross-functional elicitation sessions with project team members. 
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to business partners. 
  • Resolving minor conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.
