Description:
SAIC is seeking a Jr Software Engineer for our Sterling, VA location.
The Jr-Level software engineer will develop custom enhancements to COTS software packages in support of the sales and marketing operations of our GIS based product suite. Candidate must be able to independently design and implement software solutions meeting internal requirements. Candidate will work closely with members of staff to ensure requirements are being met. The ideal candidate will have software development with good analytical skills and a willingness to learn required. Must be detail oriented and able to work in a product focused, highly flexible, team-oriented environment with individual responsibilities for deliverables and schedule.
Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 1+ years of development experience. Additional experience may serve in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
- Strong skills in Object Oriented design and development with at least one of C#, C++, Visual Basic, or possibly Java
- Relational database design and administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Candidate must have experience in software programming
- Highly Desired Skills:
- Experience developing code in the Salesforce.com® framework
- Experience with Apex, an object-oriented programming language used in Salesforce.com®
- Salesforce.com® administration and user management experience
- Webpage design and development experience
- Software as a Service (SaaS) experience
- SQL experience
- Experience using the Eclipse IDE
