Technical Support Specialist - CALNET, Oklahoma


Technical Support Specialist - CALNET, Oklahoma - We are seeking a well-rounded IT technical support professional to provide applications support to end-users worldwide. The applications include business applications that have been either customized or have been specifically developed. Individual should be a f ast -learner with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Other duties include the following:
  • Provide applications support to end-users running desktops, workstations, and laptops
  • Track/report support issues through a ticketing system
  • Provide application support and resolution in a multi-application environment
  • Provide remote assistance to users across the globe
  • Analyze end-user’s issues thoroughly and provide accurate and user-acceptable resolution in a timely and world class manner
  • Document any and all resolutions of complex or common problems
  • Frequently contribute to a resolution knowledge base repository
  • Actively coordinate and collaborate with computer specialists at the client site to resolve technical problems
  • Proactively create technology-related improvements for the client workforce
  • Follow ITIL V3 best practices for IT services and provide feedback for continuous

General Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in a related area required
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical support experience required
  • Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a f ast -paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple applications quickly
  • Experience in medium to large software rollout and release management
  • Experience in multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mainframe is a plus
  • Experience with remote desktop applications (RDP, VNC) improvement
  • Must possess a professional and customer service-oriented attitude
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently
  • Must have excellent work ethic
  • Excellent communications, problem solving and customer service skills required
