Description
We are looking for a motivated individual who is seeking challenging opportunities related to PCs and Ultrabooks. In this position you will be responsible for developing features for windows based storage driver software targeting client PCs and Ultrabooks.
This position is 100% software development in C/C++ with limited x86 assembly on Windows* PCs. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Designing, developing/coding, and debugging Windows* device drivers for Intel's integrated storage and redundant array of independent disks (RAID) products
- Debugging product and test failures using software debuggers, In-Target Probe (ITP) and bus analyzers
- Reviewing and providing strong feedback on product software architecture specifications and design specifications
- Working very closely with the desktop hardware Chipset teams to create a production software product for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and end users
- Designing, Coding and Debugging applications
- Debugging software and hardware issues
- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur
- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process
Qualifications
- BS + 6 yrs. exp.; MS + 4 yrs. exp.; PhD + 2 yrs. exp. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Minimum requirements:
- 6+ years software development and windows driver development experience, required
- 6+ years experience using C/C++ for object oriented analysis and design skills
Preferred requirements:
- Experience with storage protocols, interfaces and concepts (SATA, SAS, SCSI, AHCI)
- Windows driver design/development/debugging experience.
- Experience with Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) or RAID devices is highly desired
- Experience with Agile, specifically scrum, a plus.
- Debug and development experience with kernel debuggers and/or Windows* application debuggers and/or DOS firmware and/or OROM and/or Basic Input Output System (BIOS) debugging, a plus
- Experience in file systems, user interface development, storage products and/or Windows operating systems, a plus
