Production Planning Engineer

The Tenix New Zealand & Pacific Islands division has considerable capability across the Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines. We design, fabricate, construct and maintain assets to deliver optimal results for clients in many industries, including mining and oil and gas.
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Production and Planning Engineer for our Fabrication business based in New Plymouth
You will be required to:
- To develop a rough cut capacity planning and master production scheduling system that incorporates all of the Industrial Services work requirements.
- To establish daily production planning processes that provides timely information and performance information to the business
- Implement a system that allows tracking of productivity down to minor activity level within each factory work cell, enabling activity based costing.
Skills Required
- 3-5 years experience in Planning roles
- Have 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing plant
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
- A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude, who is cautiously assertive
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations
- Knowledge of or willing to learn ERP and other systems
- Have excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills in Excel, Project / Premiva
- Be able to make decisions under pressure
- Be flexible to meet changing client requirements.
