Jobs Computer Technical Support Specialist - Northside Hospital

Job Description & Requirements:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Computer Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting staff in Corporate Office at a medical facility and remote locations with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology. Support includes specifications and installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines. Employee will also assist in the maintenance and testing of network server and associated equipment. 

Two to four years related experience.
  • 2-5 years experience supporting Windows 2003/2008 and XP desktop/laptop PCs. 
  • Skills and experiences with the use of technology in a business environment, including exposure to Help Desk Support, data communications/networks and application environments (domain, workgroup, and desktop). 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. 
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs. 
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates desktops, laptops and servers. 
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software and printing problems. 
  • Must enjoy solving a wide variety of problems on a continual basis. 
  • Ability to ascertain the criticality of incoming requests. 
  • Ability to translate technical terms into non-technical language. 
  • Understanding of computer terms and acronyms; ability to learn new processes and procedures. 

Customer service experience is a must.
