IS Support Specialist 

Scope of Position:

  • This position entails assisting and maintaining, updating and distributing information to our global data centers in a dynamic Helpdesk environment. The ideal candidates will analyze systems and processes looking for improvements and work within the teams and policies to implement change. The ability to work during and outside of core business hours required. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide same day support for customers and 180+ data centers worldwide
  • Perform triage and root cause analysis of issues affecting our systems
  • Liaison between branch operations, product owners and development
  • Format and load data spreadsheets
  • Maintain and distribute system helpfiles
  • Distribute updates to our branches worldwide
  • Identify and log new bugs
  • Process Improvement
  • Document new and existing procedures in document libraries
  • Contribute to the development of the team through cross-training
  • Create and update client/branch reports
  • Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Leadership skills: coaching to peers, initiative on projects and open issues, and more
  • Ability to work outside of Core Business hours as needed (available for 24/7 support)
  • Aptitude to be continually learning new skills
  • Ability to prioritizing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Proven track record of superior customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work well on a team or independently
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency

  • Ability to research and resolve system/process issues
  • Technical aptitude
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Access & Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of basic Unix/Linux commands
  • Knowledge of Programming Languages
  • Knowledge of basic SQL and database structure
  • IT Helpdesk or Tier 2 Technical Support

Experience:
This position requires previous experience with both data entry, information validation and system maintenance. Additionally, some experience within the global logistics industry or as a systems analyst will be beneficial. The ideal candidate would enjoy problem solving and root cause analysis.
