Desktop Support - Milestone Technologies, Inc - San Bruno, CA


Job Description
Milestone Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Desktop Support Technician (Level 2) that will provide the escalated level of support for one of its client’s.  The Desktop Support Technician will provide support for hardware, software and applications as needed for corporate users in a hi-tech environment.  The individual will be troubleshooting issues with all Windows Operating System.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well under pressure and short deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to move tickets to other and categorize within the different fields of IT (i.e. Network Support, Desktop Support, Server Support, etc.)
  • Skillful with troubleshooting and working with all Windows Operating Systems: XP, 2000 and 98
  • Advanced understanding of troubleshooting networking and TCP/IP configurations with a network environment that has multiple VLANS
  • Able to troubleshoot, resolve, and provide resolution for issues
  • Advanced understanding of software related issues with the Windows platform
  • Familiar with vendor management regarding service parts and system RMA’s
  • Required Experience
  • Experience escalating tickets to Level 3 when unable to resolve
  • Experience with hubs, switches and routers
  • Must have worked in an exchange environment verses POP email environment
