Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will design, develop, test, and evaluate control software and systems as applied to propulsion control for rail vehicles, electronic test equipment, and on-board network communications.
In your role you will:
- Research, design, and develop computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development;
- Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;
- Consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and overall system operational and performance requirements. You will act as company representative during customer review relative to proposal meetings, design reviews, project status meetings, and field commissioning;
- Formulate and design software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design;
- Develop and direct software testing procedures, programming and documentation.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;
- You possess zero to three (0 -3) years of experience working in software development;
- You possess experience with Propulsion and Control System (asset);
- You have good knowledge of DOORS (asset);
- Your English communication skills are excellent.
